Hair accessories & a brooch

Spotlight had a pre Christmas sale on, so I bought more fat quarters & remnants. A "regular" fabric shop sold gorgeous buttons. I used some to decorate these christmas goodies.

Another couple of hats completed while travelling. I wonder if I will ever see any of my hats being worn?

Beach side holiday

There was a spectacular sunset one evening. The sun glowed a vivid red before setting.

Still trying to keep busy while travelling, with hand craft. These brooches & hair decorations are for the girls in my family.

Each afternoon, two ducks came to visit us.

Holiday craft

We spent 2 months travelling in our little van.  As the passenger, I had lots of time in between checking out the views as we travelled, to work on my crochet.  So I managed to finish:

Endings

Well, last week I retired!! Hence the title - Endings.

So now I should have more time for my crafts – in between accompanying my husband to the dump, auto parts & hardware stores as I did on the week-end.

I finished 2 more baby hats – same old, same old, but they are CUTE!

 And necessary, so I keep going.

I have been working on a knitted shawl for years – this is the year it gets finished!

Another ending.

 I keep telling myself to NEVER start another knitted project – I don’t really find it relaxing, I am not good at it and make lots of mistakes. But somehow I forget all this and buy a kit like this. The end result is pleasing – lovely & soft. And the weather is still cold so I will use it this year.

It's June already & not a single blog in May.  Not sure where that month went. 
I am in a bit of a rut, have mainly only worked on baby hats, but I had the joy of passing on about 10 of them to a yound friend who now lives in Vanuatu & is expecting a baby. I doubt the local hospitals there have the same routine of putting a hat/beanie on newborn babies' heads, so my little hats may help a little.
